Perfect conditions for great wines
The Designation of Origin Terra Alta is located in Catalonia’s most southern, inland area. The Terra Alta region has been closely linked to wine production for almost 1.000 years. By 1296 and 1319, writers were already praising the character of wines from Terra Alta. Today, grapevines and winemaking are still intimately linked to Terra Alta. The majority of the vineyards are located at an altitude of over 400 meters, in natural terraces spread across an area with calcareous soils.
The Mediterranean climate with hot summers, cold winters and little rain has a great influence on the vineyards. The grapes are hand-picked by our winemaker, which ensures only the best grapes are used for our quality wines from Terra Alta.
