Selección Platino

Terra Alta DO

The Taste of Pure Passion…

In the making of this wine the Tempranillo, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are picked from the oldest vines in the D.O. Terra Alta. In order to get the best aromas and flavours, the grapes are harvested in mid September. The grapes are picked during the night when temperatures are low, ensuring no oxidation takes place and no fruit is lost.

After the harvesting, a cold process is used in the clarifying of the wine. No filtration is used, thus maintaining all the aromas and fruits. Our Gran Reserva is matured in French and American oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months. The wine continues its ageing in bottle for about 36 months, until the tannins mellow and it achieves its characteristic bouquet.

TEMPRANILLO, GRENACHE and CABERNET SAUVIGNON, old vines (2.000 vines/hectare), clay soil. Very dry climate (200 lt/year). Traditional fermentation, prolonged maceration, no filtration, natural decanting. Intense deep red color and persistent tears. Great aromas of ripe black fruits and nice wood. Long and persistent bouquet.
