Monastrell Alicante

True Excellence in one Single Bottle!

In the making of this wine the Monastrell grapes are picked from the oldest vines in the D.O. Alicante. In order to get the best aromas and flavours, the grapes are havested in mid October. The grapes are picked during the night when temperatures are low, ensuring no oxidation takes place and no fruit is lost. After the harvesting, a cold process is used in the clarifying of the wine. No filteration is used, thus maintaining all the aromas and fruits. Our Gran Reserva is made in two parts; the first being matured in French Oak barrels of 2.250 lts. and 500 lts. for 12 months. The second part, the wine is then transferred to American Oak barrels of 1.735 lts. for 12 months. This exceptional wine is presented in a conic bottle, using only the finest of cork.
